Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) refers to the set of economic, legal and ethical expectations that society has of companies at a given moment, which indicates that the responsibilities of companies go beyond those signed with their shareholders to capture society's demands of general form. Despite there being conceptual disagreements, in Brazil, CSR has been disseminated by a set of institutions specialized in the subject, such as the Ethos Institute for Business and Social Responsibility, which mobilizes, raises awareness and helps companies in Brazil to manage their businesses in a socially responsible manner. . Thus, the purpose of this article is to list the economic and non-economic benefits for agribusinesses by Corporate Social Responsibility. This is a research with a bibliographic review of texts that describe the theoretical bases of CSR and the contribution of the Ethos Institute to the advancement of CSR in Brazil with a qualitative approach. Studies show that agroindustries have been concerned about the alignment between economic, social and environmental dimensions in the business context, aiming to boost competitiveness, returning economic and non-economic benefits. Therefore, CSR shows that the four revised dimensions contribute to a set of economic and non-economic benefits, aiming at a better understanding regarding this responsibility. The new scientific indications suggest other approaches like the one developed in the present studies.
