Abstract

The human being, since ancient times, already performed work functions, which was just for survival, became, after the Industrial Revolution, a chance to develop financially. Employability is a concept that defines what is necessary for an employee to be seen as valuable by the job market. While workability emerged to study the ability of these employees to generate income. This research aims to explore the work ability and employability of teachers and administrative technicians at the Federal University of Paraíba-UFPB, seeking to understand the importance and impact of each dimension of work in the life of the target audience through the application of a design questionnaire. of work, analyzed by the SPSS software, to understand the criteria, such as: the amount of information that these employees filter to perform their functions, the Feedbacks policy, efficiency within the organization, professional interdependence, among other questions, and the Quali-Quantitative method. It was found that: 70% of UFPB technicians and professors do not have professional interdependence, being able to start and finish their functions; in addition, 73% of respondents stated that they filter a high range of information daily; while 54% of the sample claims to receive feedback from colleagues about their professional performance. These results are directly linked and positively corroborate with three of the five dimensions of the WQD: autonomy, work variety and feedback at work. Through these results, the influence and importance of the principles of workability and employability in the target audience of the research was identified.
