THE PERCEPTION OF EDUCATION OF SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT BY HIGHER EDUCATION STUDENTS: A SYSTEMATIC REVIEW

Abstract

Education for Sustainable Development (EDS) is of international interest at all levels.  Brazil follows this trend from 1996, and it is necessary to monitor how higher education students perceive the education of Sustainable Development. In this sense, this systematic review of the literature sought to answer the following problems: How can the perception of education of sustainable development by higher education students be evaluated? And What instruments are used to assess the perception of education of sustainable development by higher education students 415 articles were analyzed, of which 18 went through a first stage of selection criteria and 3 through a second stage of selection criteria. The results showed that the 3 articles selected at the end of the second selection stage respond to the proposed problems and their hypotheses. Moreover, the study contributes by demonstrating the state of the art on the subject and the relevance of understanding about the perception of sustainable development education by higher education students.

Adjunct Professor at the Administration Department at UNIOESTE - Foz do Iguaçu Campus, Professor at PPGTGS/Unioeste - Strictu Sensu Graduate Program in Technologies, Management and Sustainability and at PPGAdm/Unioeste - Strictu Sensu Graduate Program in Administration. Leader of the Sustainability Research Group, organizations and organizational arrangements and Researcher of the Sustainability Research Group - GPSA. Participant in the GSFN -Global Sustainable Futures: Progress through Partnership Network group, and in the Resilience Network. PhD in Business Administration from PPGA/UFRGS (2013), Master in Business Administration from PPGA/UFRGS (2009) and graduation in Business Administration from UEM (2005).
