Colorectal cancer is among the cancers with the highest incidence and the highest mortality rates in the world. Knowing this, the aim of the study was to analyze mortality in adults with colorectal cancer in Brazil, from 2008 to 2019, according to region of residence, sex and age group. An exploratory, time-series analysis of colorectal cancer mortality in the population aged 20 to 59 years, living in Brazil, was carried out, and the data were obtained through the Department of Informatics of the Unified Health System - DATASUS-Tabnet. Mortality rates from colorectal cancer were analyzed by sex and age group, and data for the analysis of trends in mortality from the illness were organized and adapted according to the Joinpoint software. According to statistics, in Brazil, the highest rate of mortality from colorectal cancer was identified in the South, and the lowest in the North of the country, and all regions showed an increasing and significant trend in mortality from this type of cancer. Furthermore, colorectal cancer mortality rates increased with age, and were generally higher in women than in men.
