ABSTRACT
The objective of this review was gathering relevant information about, physical exercise and a rich diet in antioxidants foods, as taxpayers in a strengthening of antioxidant enzyme system, bringing greater protection for the human body against the deleterious effects caused by free radicals, such as : aging, cancer, among other types of diseases. Here were discussed is the best kind of physical exercise to be practice and their frequency to the body does not enter easily in a state of oxidative stress and also what are the best foods to be eaten and calories to alleviate or even avoid damage caused by free radicals. It is believed that a regular practice of physical exercise at a moderate intensity (from 70 to 80% of maximum heart rate) and predominantly with aerobics features, combined with a rich antioxidants diets and with restrictions on high calories foods, are responsible for contributing in strengthening the antioxidant system, thereby causing a greater resistance to the deleterious effects caused in the body by free radicals and may thus influence by the potential range of life of the average human being.

}, number={1}, journal={SaBios-Revista de Saúde e Biologia}, author={Telesi, Marina and Andrade Machado, Fabiana}, year={2008}, month={out.} }
